Originally a single faction, constant tribal conflict between the various clans have broken up the Khanate into 3 warring factions. These 3 khanates represent the Turkic people of Central Asia. Orkhon Khanate, Yabghu Horde, Blue Horde, Altai Horde: It is because of these invasions the late Khergits of warband will migrate further west into CalradiaĢ. The Great Horde is a strong confederation of Eastern Steppe peoples inspired by the Mongols, soon these nomadic warriors would unite under Tamaüjin Khan and begin brutal wars of conquest in all directions. However, as both are bogged by constant warfare with each other, Steppe Khanates in the north grow to become serious threats They are the eastern start/end points of the silk road connecting the Far East to mainland Calradia.īoth seek to destroy the other and become the dominant eastern power. The 2 empires are the eastern equivalents of the Calradian Empire. These 2 factions are inspired by Medieval China, one representing the Northern Chinese and the other representing Southern Chinese. The sultanate also provides important supply stops for caravans travelling between the Aserai lands & the Wakanda Kingdom The sultanate is well-known amongst Calradia for being a rich source of Caravan Guards and Mercenaries and is also the favorite destination of most Ransom Brokers who want to grow their wealth. This faction is inspired by Islamic Empires in West Africa & Mauritania. This sultanate's name comes from the Arabic word "Gharb" (or West). However, with the break up of Calradia's Empire, now Persis has new problems: the rising Aserai in the west, the rebellious Yabghu Horde in the north, and the expansionist Gandharras in the west. For years, the Persis were the major rival to the Calradic Empire and both have engaged in long, bloody wars. Many factions such as the Aserai, the Calradic Empire,Persis Empire, and even Crusaders from as far as Vlandia have competed for the prestige of controlling of this land.Īs the name suggests, this Empire is based on the powerful Persian Empires. This faction is inspired by the Holy Land in Palestine, housing major religious landmarks of Christians, Jews, & Muslims. The Republic would occasionally trade & also fight its Empire & Aserai neighbors for domination of the Perassic Sea trade. The name of this faction is inspired by the Mithridian Empire of Nova Aetas warband mod, I imagine this to be a powerful merchant republic controlling the trade routes in the Calradian Sea, it is also inspired by Ancient Greece and is believed to be where the founder of the Empire Calradius & his followers were exiled from.
